Why is buying jeans so hard? 6 tips to make it easier
21 April 2026

This is the scene. You need to leave in fifteen minutes. The children are calling. You’re already running late. You’re standing in front of a wardrobe stuffed to breaking point, pulling things out, trying on different tops. Nothing feels right. You’re hot, you’re flustered and now standing in a pile of clothes that somehow still adds up to nothing to wear.

Living in that chaos takes more of a toll on us than we realise. It starts the day with frustration, knocks your confidence and keeps you stuck in the same few outfits on repeat.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

When you know what you’re wearing before you open the wardrobe door, everything shifts. The morning feels calmer. You feel more like yourself. And that feeling of leaving the house confident and put-together, quietly changes how you move through the rest of your day.

Getting dressed should be something you enjoy, not something you dread.

When your wardrobe is edited, organised and full of things that actually work on your body, putting an outfit together stops being a chore and starts being something you look forward to.

Taking a little time for yourself now actually saves you time in the long run. An hour spent editing your wardrobe, understanding what works for you and putting a few outfits together is an hour that pays you back every single morning. It’s not indulgent. It’s practical. Putting yourself first, even briefly, isn’t something to feel guilty about. It’s one of the kindest and most sensible things you can do – for yourself, and for everyone around you who benefits from you starting the day feeling good.
